The Corsair Model Aircraft Club (CMAC) is a friendly, family oriented, flying club for builders and fliers of remote radio control (R/C) model aircraft. CMAC is sanctioned by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, and is one of the largest, and oldest, clubs in the nation. We have an excellent safety record - we've never had a claim against our insurance for any injury, to a member or spectator, at our club in our 40 year history. CMAC sponsors a formal, free, training program for new pilots. CMAC provides several presentations to scouting organizations and church youth groups every year and our club field is utilized by the University of Akron College of Engineering Aero Design Team to test their award winning designs.

Subject: Lost transmitter and AMA card

Did anyone find a transmitter and AMA card left at the flying field last Thursday? I left them there by mistake. Just forgot. I didn't think of it until I was leaving to go out of town on Friday. If found please call me at 330-688-0075. Thank You.

Subject: WATCH WHERE WE ARE FLYING

STOP flying over the Ellsworth's trees. We need to stay away from this area and we are getting a little close to Rt.43. If you need to takeoff in that direction, start at the far left or West end of the field, if your plane has enough power (most of our planes do) just takeoff to the West.

After the Ellsworth's field is cut and the hay is removed (which will be soon) we will be able to cut down the big tree to the North and the big tree to the West so we will have a lot better approach and can see out to the north. This should change our flight path's to the North and West and stay away from the Ellsworth's area.

If your not sure about your flight path ask someone to help you. Remember we have only been at this field for about 6 weeks and need to get used to where we are flying.

Hi Tom...I live very close to the field and have a tractor (small) and I would not mind coming there and doing the mowing while a repair or replacement is found. Just let me know. Thanks for keeping us posted.

The stop flying times are located in the "COMING UP" and under "ACTIVITES"/"FLYING TIME". Try to take off and land towards the West or Left, unless you realy need to it's to the LEFT....

Subject: CMAC NEW FIELD OPEN FOR FLYING

O.K. everyone the New Flying Field is now open for flying. Go by our Field/ Safty rules and use common sense. You need to have a Spotter with you when you are flying. If you have any questions call me 330-425-4880 or call any of our Officers and Staff. At our June 3rd meeting we will cover a lot more, hope to see you there.
