A. Locate the image you want to use

1. Find an appropriate digital image to use. (Portrait is best)
2. Save your desired image on your desktop - it will be easer to find it later.

B. Start the Gravatar sign-up process

1. Open your Browser and go to gravatar.com.
2. The blue bar is the menu - click Sign Up.
3. Enter your email address.
4. Click Sign Up. This causes a confirmation email to be sent to you.

C. Confirm your Gravatar account via email

1. Go to your email program and open the confirmation email.
2. Either click the confirmation link (first link in the email) or copy and paste the whole link line into your browser.
3. Now that you have been confirmed you can complete the Set Up process.

D. Complete the account Set Up

1. Enter a nickname. Common names (John, Mary) are most likely taken, but it doesn't make any difference to our website what nickname you choose - we don't use it.
2. Enter a password (twice).
3. Record your password in a safe place. You will need it if you ever decide to change the image.
4. Click Sign Up.

E. Add your image to your account

1. Click on Add one (image) by clicking here.
2. Select My Computer's hard drive.
3. Click Browse.
4. Select Desktop as the Browse location.
5. Select the image and then click Open.
6. Click Next.

F. Crop the image and finish

1. Usually you will want to drag the crop lines to expand the crop area as large as it will go.
2. You can drag the whole crop area up and down also.
3. Click Crop & Finish, when you are satisfied with the area selected.
4. Click on G Rated. (I hope!)
5. Click on my account - Log Out.

G. That's it!

1. You don't need to anything else at this point.
2. Your image will now appear on the Post-a-Note page automatically.
3. Your image will not only appear on any new postings, it will also appear on any of your previous postings.
