The Corsair Model Aircraft Club (CMAC) has lost its two-year battle to keep flying remote-controlled planes and helicopters at the Summit County Fairgrounds in Tallmadge.
CMAC has called the fairgrounds home for 39 years but has been forced out by Metro Parks, Serving Summit County, which took ownership of 290 undeveloped acres just north of the site in 2007. The park district has told CMAC it can no longer fly over parkland.
CMAC has been looking for a new home, but hasn't been able to find a large enough area.
